Having been led by the Spirit of God, we believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.
By the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God, and this assembly, most solemnly
and joyfully enter into this covenant with each other as one body in Christ.
By the aid of the Holy Spirit, we will walk together in Christian love and strive for the advancement of knowledge,
holiness, and comfort in this church. We will endeavor to promote prosperity and spirituality; to sustain worship, ordinances,
discipline, and doctrines and contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry and expenses of the church.
We will administer relief to the poor and spread the gospel through all the nations. We will maintain family devotion time
in order to educate our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
We will bring the plan of salvation to our families and acquaintances and walk upright in the world, being just in all our dealings,
faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment. We will avoid all gossip, backbiting, and excessive anger and abstain from the sale of, and use of, intoxicating
drinks as a beverage. We will be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.
We will hold one another accountable in brotherly love and remember one another in prayer.
We will aid each other in sickness and distress and cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and Christian courtesy in speech.
We will be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.
We agree that when we leave this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with another church where we can carry out
the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
